Pat Miletich Says It's Organizational Suicide to Do That to Jon Jones | UFC News

“I understand the pressure that Zuffa is under with the Fox deal, FX deal, and all that stuff.  By putting on a massive number of cards, I think they’ve stretched themselves a bit thin. The quality of the cards has gone down, and I think everybody has noticed that, not just myself.  When you have a card that is only carried by one match, given the attrition rate in MMA, the injuries in training, they kind of set themselves up for the fall.

They need to hold themselves accountable. It’s become a bit of a habit, of late, by the leaders, to blame others for their problems, instead of letting people hold them accountable.  It’s across the board in a lot of different spectrums of life right now.

I think that Jon Jones not taking a fight with a guy who’s not five foot eleven, he’s six foot two, or six foot three, whatever he is, he’s much bigger than Henderson, is ok.   He’s younger and probably moves a little better. Dan, obviously can kill a bull with his right hand, but he’s a little older now, and Sonnen is a lefty, so it’s really a different fight.

I think Jon Jones had nothing to gain in that fight. Sonnen, moving to a different weight division, having not fought there for quite a long time, and competing at 185, hasn’t earned the right in the first place.   I think Jon Jones was well within his rights, and I back Jackson on the decision that he made and the advice that he gave Jones to pull out of the fight. It doesn’t do the UFC any good to chop the legs out from possibly their biggest star, because he doesn’t take a last minute replacement fight. There was nothing to gain for his career. I think it’s organizational suicide to do that to your biggest star.”

  1. Diaz bro says:

Disagree 100%, and personally I’m sick of these giants fighting at lower weight classes, beating up on smaller fighters and being called the greatest, they should do fight day weigh ins, let Jones fight guys who aren’t way smaller8 than him, like Anderson calling out a welter weight, GSP should call out Benson Henderson, let’s see how great JJ is against Cain, JR., or Oversee, I don’t think he could hang with Werdum.

    • Kyle says:

That wasn’t his sentiment when Karo Parisyan got hurt and Matt Hughes accepted the fight with Diesel Riggs last minute. Hughes showed the world that he was the best at 170 by beating whoever they put in front of him. That’s what a real man does. Jones will never be the man that Matt Hughes is.

    • Loose Cannon says:

      Disagree with you……

This was one of the most calm, rational, sensible takes I have seen yet. I couldnt agree with Pat more, he nailed it. Jones had nothing to gain…..and Zuffa needs to be ashamed of themselves for throwing the best fighter in the World under the bus. Dana reaked of unprofessionalism.

    • magoo says:

And Frankie would still be the champ today! Huh Diaz bro ?

    • mastodonXXX says:

Pat has alot better points than you do…I’d take his opinion over any of us fans sitting on our couches at home. Sonnen DOES NOT deserve a TITLE SHOT. His first fight at 205 is for the titles? Who is he Brock Lesner?Hahahaa!

      • Karey Morgan says:

This was not about Sonnen deserving a title shot. It could be argued that Jon Jones didn’t deserve a title shot either when he got his but it was given to him and Rua took the fight with 6 weeks to prepare for a completely different fighter than Rashad Evans. Sonnen said he would fight him when know one else did. I don’t care if it was staged by Sonnen and he really has been training for 3 weeks, allegedly, as the conspiracy theory goes.

The bottom line here is that Jones had said in August that he would fight Sonnen anywhere any time. He also told Sonnen if he was going to disrespect him to do it to his face. You cannot tell me and yes I realize Pat knows the game but I refuse to believe that as Jon Jones has come up and basically trounced the living fuck out of anyone he has faced and barely breaking a sweat. You also cannot tell me that Sonnen and Hendo are all that different. Hendo has more power so Jones wouldn’t have that to worry about. Ok so Sonnen is a lefty. Fighters take fights on short notice all of the time. I don’t care if was only 3 days. You are a fucking fighter.

Jones would have destroyed Sonnen plain and simple and the draw potentially would have been higher than for the Henderson fight.

        • kyle says:

Are you serious?!?! How can you say that he did not deserve a title shot? He literally ran through 7 contenders without even breaking a sweat. To say he didn’t deserve a shot is just ignorant. He hasn’t really even had a big war or challenge in the octagon because of Greg Jackson and his game plans. Sonnen just came off of a fucking loss and people are trying to justify a title shot in a division that is deeper than the 185 lb division.

    • Jaedr says:

Nothing to gain? He’s the champion! What the fuck is he going to gain? His job is to fight! And if you really deserve that belt you will win the fight, if not then it’s time to give it up.

      • Dagnag says:

And it’s thick headed dummies like this one who don’t look at the whole picture. All they see is the fight and don’t understand the rest of what goes on.

        • Anglin says:

I’m tired of hearing “you don’t understand the bigger picture” and “the rest of what’s going on”. First this has nothing to do with Sonnen. This has everything to do with Jones not being a fighting champion. This isn’t a day job at Xerox!?! Their job is to fight and if they need to take a bout on short notice then that’s what they need to do. Jon Jones has taken the opportunity to “take” a fight on short notice and he should be able to fight on short notice. They are fighters, don’t try to make them something they aren’t. And, those that agree with Jones can volunteer to pay the expenses of those fighters on the card he screwed over. Anyone? I didn’t think so.

        • Tyler says:

It’s not Jones fault those fighters lost a job that night, it’s Dana White and the management at UFC, you ignorant prick…And as the champion, your job isn’t just to fight randoms, its to fight the best…To prove your the best…And frankly, Sonnen isn’t in that category…So it does have a little to do with Sonnen…Your just a Jones hater, a simpleton who only understands the entertainment value of the UFC and not any other intricacy that goes on with its infrastructure.

        • Law3056 says:

You’re thinking of it from a viewer’s point of view. This isn’t your life or your career or your families lives that we’re talking about. It’s JBJ’s. Why would he do anything less then try to set himself up for success? A fighter’s job is to fight, not manage the event and put together backup plans. His opponent had to back out of the fight, that’s nothing to do with JBJ at all.

        • Use your brain!! says:

Do you really think the only reason the event got cancelled was cause of Jones…Come on Dana put a stop to it because he knew he had weak ppv to begin with..Jones doesnt owe others fighters s..t Dana is the one the who cuts checks and he decided since Jones cant fight f..k the ppv and his up and coming fighters..

        • IrieNation says:

Dog last time i checked it was ultimate FIGHTING championship…not ultimate grasp the bigger picture championship…youre just a fan that doesnt appreciate the sport of fighting….basically youre a fag

        • DBKlein69 says:

lol tyler is such a faggot. a pussy just like jon jones.

oh not to change the subject, but i was watching the mets vs phillies and it seems as though the phillies had to pull their starting pitcher due to injury and replace him with a kid they called up from triple-A. i wonder if the mets can have the game postponed so that they may have time to study the replacement pitcher

    • some dude says:

I agree its not impessive at all to see a man beat up smaller people jones has never fought a guy in the ufc that is bigger than him he couldnt handle the heavyweight devision hes never had a fare fight.

      • Tyler says:

Fair is fair, he weighs in at the same weight on the same night as his opponents…Stop downplaying a fighter’s success, just because you don’t like him…

        • Mischa says:

Tyler you are dingdong. You understand nothing.

        • magoo says:

Tyler is right all you other ignorant fukcs are wrong! Until he misses weight like Daley and Johnson keep your traps shut.

        • fans want to see fighters beating the crap out of 1another & thats the bottomline. jones chickening out & not fighting sonnen is fans not seeing fighters beating the crap out of 1another & thats what they paid 4. ufc 151 cancelellation is fans not seeing fighters beating the crap out of 1another and they have already paid 4 tickets (fight & plane). the undercard was gonna be paid 4 beating the crap out of 1another & they didnt get paid because of punks like you, jon “chicken” jones & greg jackson. fighters should fight 1another on short notice, thats why they are called fighters, not stockbrokers. thats the bottomline boy!
thats truth, justice in the american way.

    • KIDD433 says:

@DIAZ BRO.Well said man. These dumb asses on here dont know the difference between a win based on real skill,or a win based on being a mismatched fight. His freak size advantage couldn’t be anymore obvious.6′-4″with a 84″reach fighting 5′-11″and 6’footers.They dont see the obvious,They just see wins over big names, and hear Joe Rogan kiss his ass and fall for the hype. Its amazing people can be that naive…Geeze, imagine if he was say 6′-0″with a 74″reach,we wouldn’t even know who the hell Jones is

    • showwtime says:

I hate this whole ‘fight at your natural weight’ garbage! Usually the people who say that are the same people saying frankie edgar should move down to fw. Jon Jones makes lhw relatively simply and he has, really a perfect body type for his class. Its not hard to tell he’s naturally a pretty skinny guy with with a long thin frame, have you seen the guys legs, they’re like toothpicks! Its not just height and reach, get off that sheeit!

  2. jbeamazing says:

Patty says these cards have been a problem as of late
You mean ufc 151 was a problem

    • dogfart says:

i think a lot of the card have been week. recently the prelims have been more exciting than the main cards mainly because a load of unknowns fighting for that chance to get into the main events are more hungry than the main fighters.

I love seeing lots of fights but maybe on the fox and fuel cards do away with prelims and integrate the prelims into the 2hr fox slot.
this will save main event fighters for the PPV’s while maintaining TV presence
      keep prelims for ppv

  3. WarPhenom says:

The Rock says” it doesn’t matter what militich thinks”

  4. DMAC says:

Thanks pat! These idiots that have nothing in life to lose don’t understand the remifications of taking that big of risk. All they want to do is be entertained and can give a shit about the legitimacy of the “sport”.

    • Mischa says:

Call yourself idiot coz you are one of them. If you bought your ticket for the figth and plane and did your reservation in a hotel you will get mad too. That’s the reason why you are paying for it you want to be entertain. Waz up with your brain!!

  5. JR says:

I gotta say, Mr. Miletich has a great point. Come to think of it – he may be right. and so is mr. jackson and jones. But I guess what really pisses alot of people is the fact that we are in a sport, nay, business where you get to prove your worth. MMA/UFC boomed because of it’s hard core approach. Now, when CHAMPIONS start talking about the risks (on their careers) and would try to justify their preference – that’s when it becomes crap. Let’s put it this way:
UFC – organization (which Jones belongs to)
UFC Execs – promote fights (it’s their RESPONSIBILITY to put on a show)
CHAMPIONS – THEY FIGHT THE BEST – if not the best, then those who’s got the balls to get in the same cage and slug it out with ’em

    just my two cents

    peace y’all

    • OMG says:

What are contracts for that all fighters sign no matter the organization they fight in? Screw contracts! We’ll switch up opponents no matter the reason because “Fighters – they fight!” Don’t matter whom it is.

And don’t forget about the “UFC Execs” whose “responsibility” is to promote fights. Oh..wait a sec, THEY CANCELLED THE CARD! Dana White said “screw our responsibility” and our legal duty to honor the contract of the 16 other fighters on the card–cancel the card ! Jon Jones contracted to fight Henderson and Henderson failed to honor his side of the contract. Chael, the UFC’s newly acquired spokesperson, preaches that if you’re contracted to fight, YOU FIGHT no matter what. But now since it’s his friend Dan and he’s benefitting from the fall out of this ridiculous situation, Chael has changed his tune….once again!! (and I’m a Chael Sonnen fan). But all the “followers” are eating it up. So ridiculous.

The only clouded minds that can be corrected are of children. It is virtually impossible to correct the clouded mind of an adult.

      • CombatRusse says:

        Good comment, thank you
Thanks to Pat for his comments too
But he probably won’t be a UFC Hall of fame… unless the fertitas get rid of Dana White! They should replace that bully by Joe Rogan!

  6. KILL GREG JACKSON!!! says:

Too much bullshit goin on nowadays, starting to become more like boxing. This is not what made ufc popular. Next thing we know we’ll be getting only 3 ppv events in one year and lucky to have 1 good card. This ain’t the ufc no more, thanks greg jackson!

    • And who would have an email that says damadafaka? says:

should i send this email around the internet? of course with the .com…

    • Dagnag says:

As much as I despise Greg Jackson, I don’t think it’s his or JbJ’s fault. When Dana found out 3 and half weeks ago that Hendo was hurt, he should have had other fighters on standby BACK THEN. That way he wouldn’t have to worry about trying to save the card at the last minute. This is Dana’s fault and no one else’s.

  7. Boring says:

Agree with Pat, Shame that UFC events are only based on 1 fight instead of a a great show involving other fights.By trying to cash in on the ufc commercially they (ufc) have cheated their fans in order to make a quick buck. I don’t understand why fans of ufc are on JBJ’s back, when Dana based the show on 1 fight knowing the rest of the card was weak, and then had to cancel it because he knew nobody would buy the weak arse event they put on. So really everyone should be complaining to dana and rest and telling them to put on some decent events like they use to back in the day.

  8. the truth says:

It is bullshit when you start letting champions pick there opponent it becomes boxing and we all watched what happened to boxing sincerely jon mayweather jones

    • jdog says:

NO its like letting Don King buy his fighter a shot at a belt. Sonnen is not on ANY LHW top 10 list let alone top 5 list. What you are saying is that Kimbo Slice deserves a shot at the belt, ohh wait at least Kimbo won his last fight, so in essence you are saying that Nick Diaz deserves a shot at Anderson Silva.

See the point, Diaz just lost “FOR THE BELT” and wants to MOVE UP IN WEIGHT FOR THE BELT. Sonnen just lost “FOR THE BELT” and wants to MOVE UP IN WEIGHT FOR THE BELT.

Do you see the real truth to your words or are you just so blind to the crap that comes out of Dana Whites mouth you cant see?

    • maybe jones & mayweather jr. are bloodrelatives coz their both chickens. & maybe jackson & mayweather sr. are relatives coz their both chiken trainers. they should check 4 chicken dna’s on jones & mayweather.

  9. magoo says:

Finally someone who knows what the fukc he’s talking about,I totally agree %100 with everything Pat said. I think if someone had the coin now would be the perfect time to set up another big organization!

  10. Do Jones, Jackson, and Militich realize they are in the fight game? Two men enter, one man leaves. game plans, championships, endorsements, and legacies should all fall under that principle and that principle alone.

    • Dagnag says:

Try telling that the UFC’s bankers, investors and sponsors. At the end of the day, fight game or not, this is a business. I bet none of them are blaming Jones for missing out on the money from that PPV. They blame the man who’s in charge of making things happen. Dana White!

  11. rw says:

that’s very accurate in my opinion , the UFC cards are very week these day like Pat Miletich said ,with only 1 fight on the card carrying the whole show and sometime the whole card sucks that’s why i refuse to order ppv these days unlike before i ordered most of them , since i love the sport of fighting i just go watch at the bar these days .

  12. Kyza says:

you have to remember that Dana White lashed out in the same way with Anderson Silva back in UFC 112 at Abu Dhabi and even talking about striping away his belt. It’s just Dana wanting fighters to keep impressing in the UFC and not tarnish it.

  13. Nuthugger says:

Dana cancelled the card, nobody else. Bones refused a fight that he was not contracted to do, so did no wrong. Dana had a contract with all of the undercard fighters. What did he do? He breached the contracts simply for his own satisfaction. He thinks he is the “god” of UFC, yet dodges the blame as soon as his mistake is shown. Why did he cancel the rest of the card when Jones refused? Because he knew that had it gone ahead, he would have had to pay everyone and lose a million or two when no fans bought the PPV. So, the card wasn’t cancelled because Jones broke a contract, he wasn’t contracted to fight whoever Dana decides. It was cancelled to save Dana/Zuffa, money, simple as that. They put the card together, not Bones.

    • stockbrokers should stay out of this site. chickens should stay out of this site. people who doesnt like to see fighters beating the crap out of 1another should stay out of this site. people who are happy that ufc 151 was cancelled should stay out of this site. you have no lust 4 blood. this is not economics, not a law firm, & not wall st. so get the hell out of this site. “face the pain, no escape, can you step to this, face the pain, face the pain, its ripping me in2 pieces!”.
IN2 PIECES! do you know what my last sentence was?

  14. Finally someone making sense when they speak on this situation.

  15. McLovin says:

    Good call Pat.

  16. TheChief says:

I think that this is the most sensible thing that someone has said on this issue. UFC needs to understand and take some of the responsibility for the cancelation of UFC 151. If Jones had taken the fight he would have been a fucking hero but if he had nothing to gain from the fight. And i still don’t understand how Dana even thought of calling Chael. Even if no one else was willing to take the fight, Dana should have never even thought of calling Chael.

  17. MJ says:

Jones is scared to lose to that big mouthed chump, who shouldn’t have a chance in hell in winning the fight. Jones is a giant pussy bitch, and Miletich just wants some press coverage. The cards have been weak though, so he does have one good point.

  18. Tomme Dugon says:

All I know is, Chuck Liddell took any fight, any time….heres to the last great champion at 205!!!

    • KIDD433 says:

DAMN RIGHT TOMMY.You couldve called Chucks old ass and offered him Jones on 8 days notice and the SOB would’ve took it.Thats the difference between a (real fighter)and (chicken shit)i mean greg jackson fighter

  19. realist says:

Chael Sonnen isn’t 6’3 nopr is he 6’2″ he is 6′ 1″ a mere 2 inches taller than Henderson, if your Bones Jones the proclaimed P4P king you should be able to beat a guy you outweigh and outsize on 8 days notice, no it’s not 3 days. So to me they are saying greg jacksons gameplan is what wins the fights not Jones ability. they need to study tape of Sonnen to defeat him. Go out on the street and start a fight how much tape do you have on the guy.

Stop making excuses you though there was a chance you would lose to a 185 lber admit it.

  20. Joe reyna says:

Nobody ever said Sonnen deserves the title shot. But he’s bada$$ and was one of the few willing to fight on short notice. The champ should never turn down a fight unless he is injured. Otherwise he is scared.

  21. Bob'O says:

    Chael isn’t 6’3, he’s 6’1.

    Sounds good though Pat. ~Bob’O

  22. rw says:

.lets look at the main card on a ppv event with out jone jones –>*Jake Ellenberger vs. Jay Hieron
    *Dennis Siver vs. Eddie Yagin
    *Dennis Hallman vs. Thiago Tavares
*John Lineker vs. Yasuhiro Urushitani…thats why Dana ( not Jon Jones )canceled the whole event , who da f… want to pay for that ? if the UFC made a better line up they would have to count on jon jones alone and cancel the whole event , after all it is ULTIMATE Fighting Championship not ULTIMATE Jon Jones corp

    • ASDF says:

…. As well, since you know shit, no UFC Champion since Zuffa bought out the UFC in 91/92 has EVER declined a fight, just saying since you SEEM to know your shit. The card was built on him, if Jon didn’t know that, and/or Greg Dildo Jackson (he really looks like a dick, with the shaved head) didn’t know that, they’re lying through their teeth. Just like Greg Jackson is known to lie to ‘go get some fans’, applying the 8 day notice on a 3 month camp to a Machida is an insult to the public’s intelligence. I hope he gets herpes all over that head, to show the public he’s a dirty piece of shit.

  23. jdog says:

Most of you sound like a bunch of tools. “Jones hasn’t fought anyone bigger than he is” Total BS! Jones is tall, have you seen his damn chicken legs??? Quinton IS bigger than he is Shogun IS bigger than he is, just not taller than he is. Jackson walks around about 240 when he isn’t training, or at least used to walk around at that weight, and I think Shogun is in the 220 to 230 range when not in fighting form.

I think it is just the Jones hater inside most of you that don’t see the light. How many of you could actually and would really think that Chael moving up from middle weight after his last loss should be given an immediate title shot. This is on the theory that NO fight card was CANCELED. Do any of you really think he deserved a title shot??? If you said yes to the above question then you do not know MMA and truly are helping to kill ALL legitimacy of the ranking systems.

    • KIDD433 says:

@ JDOG,notice how jones looks a weight class bigger than everyone hes fought? Its not just weight, couldn’t be anymore obvious, its reach, its overal size. He’s enormous, there bullshit mismatched fights

  24. Nick says:

Yeah, I read about 2 paragraphs in then stopped. I’m tired of people defending him. People forget that there was another serious injury before this. Koscheck/Ellenberger was supposed to go down, why does everyone forget that? The card had a solid main and co-main event, not saying, Kos/Ellenberger was main event worthy, but the problem wasn’t the card. It was Jon Jones, he turned his back on the people who made him who he is. I’m tired of explaining this, if you think Jon is right, go ahead you’re entitled to your own opinion. I know what is ethically right.

  25. CMUSMC says:

The UFC makes tons of cash off Jon Jones he doesn’t owe them a damn thing. So all the “he was given an oportunity” BS is just plain BS. But I am not the UFC. I bust my ass to have enough extra cash to buy ppv while in school and haven’t missed one in over 4 years. I have paid good money for Jon Jones to be where he is today. Jon Jones has made it clear that the fans that wanted to see Jon jones weren’t as important to Jon Jones as his career. My Champion wouldn’t do that. My champion is the best in the world and aims to prove it to me whenever he can so I keep paying to see him. Real champions remember where they came from and who got them there. If you lose it’s over you’re not the champion because the other guy was better. But dont refuse me the opportunity to watch you. Don’t duck anything you’re the best you keep telling me that and I keep paying to see it. For Christ sakes forget your career WE MADE YOU. “machida doesn’t draw good enough” “I’m not prepared for chael” those are things the champion would never say. Good Job Jon, you did everything right for you, and nothing right for the people that made you who you are right now. Militech as good as
You where for early fighters stick to commentary you seem to have forgotten us too.

  26. punchkick says:

got to think who is ufc’s biggest star?

  27. GET RID OF FITCH (forever) says:

Greg jackson is ruining MMA and what Dana said is true about him being a “SPORTS KILLER” What Jackson did to the UFC with Guida vs maynard should go down as one of the biggest disgraces ever by a training camp. Yes what Condit did is #2

Dana is goimng to run Greg jackson right out of the UFC and i can’t wait

    • CMUSMC says:

Nothing is wrong with points fight

      • CMUSMC says:

Nothing is wrong with points fighting. If you can’t get to your opponent it’s your fault. You need to be able to close the distance without being hit, Diaz couldnt do that therefore suffered more damage than condit and lost a one sided fight where he was out struck in almost every round. Guida ran from Maynard. Two totally different fights. Not standing in front of someone isnt that same as not being anywhere near them. If you can’t stop GSP from taking you down that’s your fault. You want to be exciting sprawl and show us something don’t complain. This isn’t Jackson’s fault it’s that UFC and Jon Jones. Jackson is just a coach.

  28. david lewington says:

The main thing I have with Pat M having any criticism with Dana White and Zuffa is that it is completely biased. He can’t stand Dana and whenever he gets the chance he opens his mouth against the UFC. Here he goes again. If Dana had of praised JJ for his decision in not taking the fight then Pat would have stated JJ was not a true Champ and should have taken it the way his cohort Matt Hughes did in the past. The other part of his statement that the card was thin and the only fight was JJ vs DH is a slight to all the other fighters on the card. Personally I’d watch any of those other matchups over any of Pat’s fights, anyone ever watch Pat against Burnett in the lightweight championship fight at UFC 17.5 Ultimate Brazil ? One of the most BORING fights in MMA fight history. Seriously he makes Charlie Brenneman look ultra exciting.

Anyone can express their opinion but when it’s fueled by hatred and is suppose to come off as a professional when it is obviously biased and contradictory to other statements made in the past it loses all credibility.

  29. Mikeythemachine says:

Its a good job 151 was cancelled, and I will tell you why. Judging by the way this was handled by Dana (who I am a fan of) and the UFC as a whole, I was probably somewhere on Dana’s shortlist as a replacement for the Jones fight. It doesn’t matter that I have never fought before in the octagon before, or that I got the s**t kicked out of me in nearly every bar fight I ever had. It doesn’t matter that I am not even the right weight. I can be a bit of a GOBSHITE so am probably almost as qualified as Sonnen.
Instead of us all bitching on forums and making this personal lets use it as a springboard. The UFC can learn it’s lessons and stack the fight cards a bit more instead of relying on one man to make a card. Cos lets be honest here, no one was really paying to see Hendo (who I am also a fan of). I for one was buzzing when Fox got involved because of the thought of more fights for me as a fan to watch. I can see now that I was wrong as since the introduction of more cards the quality of the line ups has certainly gone down. See how easy it is to admit mistakes and move on. Maybe the UFC elite should try it. Just a thought.

  30. i miss the good old ufc, the old school ufc. where what matters most is honor & glory & defending your honor & then glorifying yourself. where the only things to consider are punches, kicks, takedowns, submissions & beating the crap out of the other fighter before he beats the crap out of you. what happened to that ufc? who died died & made you a leader mr. militech? you a nobody, your a has been. randy couture would step up if he wasnt retired. now thats a fighter, a hero. couture would defend his title in 1 day notice. ufc made what militech is right now, hes an ingrate prick. jones was also made by the ufc. he think he coulve have gotten the nike contract w/out the ufc. i bet dana white’s regretting he ever gave jones a title shot, i bet its killing him right now. big mistake dana! big mistake. randy couture wasnt made by the ufc what he is now. he made what ufc is now. he gave ufc honor & glory. & now people like jones & jackson is destroying it. all the hall of famers hard work 2 build the ufc is going 2 nothing beacuse of this 2 nincompoops! the new champ is corrupting the ufc instead of giving it honor & glory. this is seriously bad. this has 2 stop & this has 2 stop now! be4 its 2 late.

@Henry Williams.ABSOLUTELY…Jones can bitch out’ve a fight hes prepared for,and these trolls will still defend him.Put money on it Chuck, and Royce are out there laughing their asses off

Militech, jones had plenty to gain!!!! Two paychecks, Sonnen was gonna give him his, very high pay par view numbers. Biggest of all though he could have saved the day and looked like a man, play it safe wimp. For Greg Jackson to say Sonnen had nothing to lose is stupid also……..he could have lost his teeth. They should have just made it a non title fight.

Shogun showed he is a warrior by accepting Jones on short notice. .Why can’t Jones be a man and take the same risk?
