Pascal Krauss vs. Adam Khaliev added to UFC on FOX 10 card

Following an initial report by the Chicago Sun Times, UFC officials announced today that a new bout has been added to the card of UFC on Fox 10: Henderson vs. Thomson. The Russian invasion is ongoing as undefeated Russian kickboxer Adam Khaliev faces off in his UFC debut against Pascal Krauss (pictured). UFC on Fox 10 is scheduled at Chicago’s United Center on January 25th.
UFC Welterweight Pascal Krauss (11-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) is looking to get back on track after being 50/50 in the win/ loss column. He is coming off of a recent knockout loss to Hyun Gyu Lim at UFC 164. Although that fight won both contenders “fight of the night” honors, a loss is still a loss. The German fighter training out of Milwaukee with famous Duke Roufus is better known for his submission game and his “fight of the night” performance in his UFC debut that came with a victory over Mark Scanlon in 2010. He’s now looking to get a few more marks in the win column, starting this January when he faces off against undefeated Adam Khaliev (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC).
Following in the footsteps of other Russian fighters such as Rustam Khabilov, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Adlan Amagov, Adam Khaliev, a former Sambo and kickboxing champion is adding his name to the UFC roster. Khaliev propelled his professional MMA career into motion with a series of brutal knockouts and first round stoppages in 2011. He may be best remembered for his beautiful tornado kick knockout of Alexei Belyaev in 2011. Khaliev is set to make his UFC debut in January and has hopes to continue his hot streak with a knockout of Krauss.
Be sure to catch all the action as UFC on Fox 10 airs on FOX, and the prelims on FOX Sport 1. Though this is sure to be an exciting fight and one to keep an eye out for it is expected to be on the preliminary card and able to be seen on FOX Sport 1.
Headlining the event is former UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson as he faces off against dangerously talented Josh Thomson. Other bouts to look out for are Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone vs. Adriano Martins and Darren Elkins vs. Jeremy Stephens. Also, hard-hitting Gabriel Gonzaga is set to fight Stipe Miocic in what’s sure to be a slugfest.
