One “TUF Live on FX” Cast Member Medically Suspended Following Last Week’s Elimination Victory

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has handed down a medical suspension to “The Ultimate Fighter Live on FX” cast member, Jeremy Larsen.
Larsen was introduced to the UFC audience last Friday with his elimination round victory over Jeff Smith to earn his spot in the house. Unfortunately he received a cut in the process and as such the NSAC has opted to put him on medical suspension until April 9, with no contact in training until March 31.
This development definitely puts his spot on this seasons cast in jeopardy, but the one glimmer of hope is that he can be cleared early as soon as this Friday by NSAC doctors if they feel he has made a sufficient recovery from the injury.
If not the likelihood of him being replaced becomes stronger, after all, the show must go on.
This is not the first time a fighter has been injured while on the shows final cast, and just like in the past, if Larsen cannot be cleared he will be forced to withdraw from the competition and one of the other 16 eliminated fighters will more than likely be selected as a replacement.
As of right now, from what I am being told, the UFC is not looking to replace him and fighters who have contacted the promotion for the possible vacancy left by Larsen have been quickly dismissed.
