Okami vs. Cane | UFC 150 in Denver August 11

UFC 150 is officially headed to Denver’s Pepsi Center with a new middleweight bout added to the card between Yushin Okami and Brazilian Luiz Cane. The bout was confirmed by UFC officials with the Denver Post.

Yushin Okami is a Japanese mixed martial artist with a record of 26 wins and 7 losses. He fights out of Kanagawa, Japan and has a black belt in Judo. Okami has lost his last two fights, one being for a title fight against Anderson Silva. In his last fight against Tim Boetsch, Okami suffered a third round TKO. He will look to make a strong comeback at UFC 150.

Braziliann Luiz Cane holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a record of 17-4-1 and has fought both as a middleweight and a light heavyweight. Cane has fought in the UFC since 2007 and lost his last bout against Stanislav Nedkov with a TKO in the first round. Cane will be looking for a win and a hopeful a stay of execution by the UFC after having lost 3 of his last 4 matches.

Both fighters will be looking to get back on a winning track.

Another fight officially announced for this card is a lightweight bout between Thiago Tavares and Dennis Hallman.

    hopefully Luiz Cane doesnt pressure him… Okami is my fav fighter, has been for awhile.. but the dude does not react well when he gets pressured… dominated Boestch for 2 rounds… then he said **** this, and just steamrolled right through Okami… Lets go Okami, get some nice finishes, and ull be back in the title hunt in no time…
