Odds in Favor of Daniel Cormier over Frank Mir | Strikeforce News
A heavyweight bout between Strikeforce Grand Prix Champ Daniel Cormier and former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir is expected to take place on an October 27th Strikeforce card. No location has been chosen as of yet. Cormier will be moving over to the UFC after the bout, and Mir will return there as well.

He should be the fav but to me Cormier is getting to much hype to fast, what has he really done? Beat an overrated big foot and an aged josh Barnett. Also frank is on TRT for this fight so who knows which frank we will see

Aged my ass, Barnett is still a BEAST and would probably beat up 8 out of the Top 10 UFC heavyweights and Cormier put a whoopin’ on him like he stole something! DC is the real deal… He’ll blast Mir and shake up the HW division real good in the UFC, mark my words!
He will be a top 5 HW in the UFC (I don’t see him beating Overeem,JDS,Cain) or a 3 LWH (don’t see him beating Jones but would be an interesting fight)
imo cormier deserves the hype. jds, bj penn, aldo, anderson, pettis, and cormier are all guys that i said, “wow, this dudes going to be something amazing” when i first saw them fight. plus anyone who can handle barnett like that deserves some hype. i hate when ppl act as if barnett is some ****ing scrub or something. barnett is as tough as they come, and one of the most well rounded hw’s of all time. cus in reality, frank mir + strong chin + strong wrestling = JOSH BARNETT.

Depends how Mir approaches the fight, if it goes to the ground and a scramble Mir has a chance but Cormier’s wrestling is so good I don’t see Mir getting the take down. I’m going for Cormier KO. He hits very hard and Mir doesn’t have the chin for those kind of shots.
Daniel is the hungry up and coming fighter with great hands and wrestling, frank mir has ok hands with great jujits and a weak chin! And ima fan of mir but thats y he is down for this fight, unless he proves he can still stand and bang he will preety much always be down when fighting fighters with great hands.
