By Jamie McAllister:
Diego Nunes a highly exiting fighter with victories over the likes of Mike Brown & Manvel Gamburyan and who had Kenny Florian rocked a few times in a back and forward fight at UFC 131. One interesting fact is he has not finished one single fight since coming to the US in his UFC career as well as in the WEC with his six victories all being decided in the judges.
“It could be the quality of the opponents, but I think I need to relax more, worry less,”
“It’s hard for me to loosen up.”
“It think it will be a good fight, a loose fight,” Nunes said. “It will be free-flowing, at least as far as I’m concerned. This will be a different fight. I don’t plan to wrestle or clinch. I won’t have to stress about being taken down.”
“I’ve decided it’s high time that I showed my true potential on the feet,” he said. “I just need to go in and fight. I need to let my game go, and the knockouts will start happening again.”
“I won’t fight forever,” he said. “I know I’ll be an preacher of the gospel of the Lord. That’s my strength. It’s Jesus. His example in winning, never quitting, suffering through so much, I apply that to my own life. I never quit, regardless of the size of my cross, regardless of any nails that are struck upon me. There’s no giving up.”
All comments made in a recent interview with mmajunkie.com , If there was not already enough to look forward to in his match up with Siver then this gives even more reason to tune in both men preferring striking and Nunes planning to get loose and show even more of his already impressive stand up game than before.Tags: featured, MMA NEWS, Strikeforce, strikeforce news, ufc news, UFC on FOX, UFC on FOX 2, ufc on fox 3, UFC on FX
