NSAC Hits Carwin & Nelson With Out Of Competition Drug Test | UFC NEWS
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has requested out-of-competition drug screenings from “The Ultimate Fighter” season 16 coaches, Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson.
The last occurrence of such testing was when Alistair Overeem was scheduled to fight Junior dos Santos on an all heavyweight UFC pay-per-view. In the aftermath it was found that the UFC’s number one heavyweight contender had banned substances in his system and was forced out of the main event.
Overeem is still serving a suspension for the infraction discovered during the out-of-competition test but will be eligible for licensure this December.
Will Nelson or Carwin suffer the same fate as “The Reem.”
Since put on notice the fighters have just a few days to submit their sample to an approved testing facility. The NSAC will more than likely oversee that of Nelson’s being that he is a Las Vegas resident.
Carwin, who resides in Colorado, was given a list of approved testing facilities and must submit to one of the NSAC recommendations.

yeah i’d have to agree, picking roy was a cop out, lol
you can be fat and be on roids lol roy has lost fat and added muscle..but the only way you can say country is definitely not on roids will be after the tests!! i know big guys on roids who are not bodybuilders they are power lifters…so like i said you can be a fat guy on the juice !!!
Still not a random test and everyone knows Carwin has been off the ROIDS since Nelson started begging for him to submit to VADA. Also its not like they just showed up and tested him. Carwin has at least a week to do aLL THE TRICKS of the trade like have saline injected into his body which will skew the poitive test into raeding negative. All i know is the best sports doctors in world who were making over a million a year working for US POstal cycling team used this very test to help Lance Armstrong beat his PED tests. Carwin is as dirty as they come in MMA and easily right up there with Nate “THE CHEAT” Marquardt as one of the worst or most well known CHEATERS in ALL MMA. Carwin has every physical trait possible for someone who has been JUICING for over 20 years. They call it the NEADRATHOL look with forhead all exaggerated back. It takes at least 15 years of full on ROIDING to change your appearance that bad from ROIDS. Some people even call it the lyle Alzedo look. Don’t believe me maybe you should read what UNITED STATES FEDERAL PROSECUTOR had to say about Carwin and his buying massive amounts of ROIDS

Yet more people joining the ranks of guilty until proven innocent. He was named. Not prosecuted or indicted. I’m sure people have brought your name up in conversations involving intelligence, that doesn’t mean you have been using any.

We live in the U.S.A, where you are innocent until proven guilty, all you have is opinion and circumstantial evidence. Has Carwin been caught or convicted. Simple answer, no.

Well I hope for the sake of real MMA fans both of these guys didn’t try to get over on the system especially knowing they have a good thing going with TUF final..If they can’t compete without the roids maybe they need a new line of work that goes for the dirty ass fighters who have been messing up fight cards these past years…

the number one contender didnt have banned substances in his system. he had an unacceptable testosterone to epitestosterone levels due to a medication he was given by his doctor to help with a rib injury from sparring with daniel ghita. dont imply he had failed a simple drug test for substances
I agree with you. Everyone thinks that Overeem was seriously juicing up…but im betting its just creatine. My dad went from being skinny as a twig to something similar to overeem’s size in about a year and a half from the stuff.
And no I’m not defending the guy because we have the same name. That’s just how I see it.
