NSAC Confirms That Alistair Overeem Has The Testosterone Of 14 Men

Yesterday we learned that UFC heavyweight fighter, Alistair Overeem had failed his random drug screening due to elevated levels of testosterone and today the Nevada State Athletic Commission received conclusive proof that his T/E ratio was in fact 14-to-1.

The average ratio for a male is a 1-to-1 ratio however the NSAC, for precautionary reasons, have their limit set at a six-to-1 ratio for fear of penalizing an athlete who may natural produce higher testosterone than the average man.

Kizer indicated that with such a high level that there is likely some foul play going on with Overeem’s “Dietary Supplements.”

Alistair Overeem was set to fight UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos for the UFC’s heavyweight title at UFC 146. However according to reports he has yet to apply for a license to fight and he has yet to respond to the failed drug screening.

At this point Overeem has just two basic options.

Option 1 is to fight the results and request that a second sample be tested, dispute any findings and try to get a license to fight his scheduled opponent.

Option 2 is to keep silent, as he has done for the past two days, and do nothing.

Which one will he choose? Only time will tell.

Stay tuned to BJPENN.COM as we continue to unravel this story.

Damn! Hercules only had the strength of 10 men!

      • BRING BACK BROCK ! says:

Overeem’s a cheater. Release Overeem and bring back Brock. This is why Brock lost. YEAAAAAAAHHHHHH !!!

        • Xaninho says:

And you seriously think Lesnar, once caught with a trunk full of steroids doesn’t juice? smh…

        • BRING BACK BROCK ! says:

No, not serious at all. Fact: Lesnar has never tested positive for PEDs before or after a UFC fight. Fact: Brock is a HUGE dude! How he got like that, I don’t really care. Really. Overeem was too good to be true, and that’s the way it turned out. I’m disappointed. But I wasn’t about to preach about what’s good and bad for fighters when I have never stepped into a fight willingly and I will never ever do so.

You and Dan need to get off of your high horses and realize things are not what they seem. If you have life figured out to the second, please share. But until you do, chill, and fix your own lives first.

        • Xaninho says:

Fact : Overeem wasn’t tested positive for the Lesnar fight either…. So why bring Brock back again?

        • Dan says:

Ok, and Brock has never taken steroids. You’re a joke.

    • DAMN! says:

Its those damn horses i tell ya!

  2. Cody says:

I mean it’s not surprising it’s like a bad joke we all knew hes been juicing for a while now give the fight to Mir seems logical

  3. slacker says:

    Too disgusting for words!

  4. Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

“The average ratio for a male is a 1-to-1 ratio however the NSAC, for precautionary reasons, have their limit set at a six-to-1 ratio for fear of penalizing an athlete who may natural produce higher testosterone than the average man.”

Now is a man who has a naturally elevated testosterone at an advantage compared to everyone else (in between 6-1 and a max of 6-1))? How is that different than a man on TRT raising his levels to 1-1?

    • A. Chung says:

No humans naturally has a 6 to 1 ratio. At best it might be 3 to 1 ratio. The extra factor of 2 is what engineers call padding or a buffer zone. Any fight who test 5 to 1 is on something!

    • slacker says:

Well, if someone is naturally higher, than at least it occurred naturally, as with Jones’ bizarrely long limbs. I am not sure what I think about “older” guys bringing theirs up to 1 – 1 yet. They are at a slight disadvantage without raising their levels, but it is not natural either. Maybe they should base their testosterone allowances in MMA on scientific findings of what is normal for a particular age group. Or, just scrap allowing it period – except for some very few medically permitted instances.

      • Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

Its such a tough decision because some of the older fighters and those who have kicked steroids have a deficit of testosterone below 1-1. But you don’t want abuse of the therapy.

        • slacker says:

Yeah, it’s one thing to use it properly within those legal limits, but we, the fans, are losing out in the end with cancelled fights or ones that will end in NC’s. It’s kind of harsh, but maybe past steroid use is where they need to draw the line on allowed treatments, whether it was for personal reasons (body building; they still knew the potential side effects) or more often, used in a professional sport scenario. If the doctor says past steroid use was the cause of the low testosterone, then those fighters should probably be prohibited from using it – call it retroactive suspension, poetic justice or whatever. It’s bad enough we as fans have to accept so many cancelled fights due to injuries and now this. It sucks.

        • Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

This guy on another thread said Chael had one testicle. If that’s true then I think he should be able to use TRT.

Maybe I’m just gullible but if that’s true then he got 17-1 testosterone levels off one nut. Image what level he could have had with two! Lol

        • slacker says:

lol. That would be an incredible amount of energy then I guess. I remember Bisping teasing Sonnen that he had one ball, but I didn’t know if he was making it up for a sarcastic joke, or if he actually knew something the rest of us didn’t. Yeah, they have to let him take something. There is no “one nut” special olympics he can compete in. lol But even then, his levels were way off the mark!

        • Xaninho says:

True that….When a fighter used steroids in the past and now can’t produce his own testosterone anymore, tough shit!

We have a saying here that fits a situation like that…”He who burns his ass, must sit on the blisters.”

  5. Kingsforge says:

Nice going, fucking douchebag. Was one of my favourite fighters, now it seems he’s just another drug-pumping loser.

Ah well, still Anderson Silva. Chances of Silva ever failing a drugs test with that lazy looking physique?

    • max says:

Hilarious comment… if you thought he was squeaky clean before this news came out there’s something wrong with you.

    • mrtaylorsblues says:

anyone know how they test? is it a blanket exam for ANY substance or do they begin with an inkling (like maybe test diaz for weed first since he has a history?) and go from there?

  6. Ruben says:

    fucking cheater

  7. Xaninho says:

Still 3 men less than Sonnen tested when he fought Silva lol!

    • Dinglenuts Magee says:

with the strength of 16.9 men Chael ALMOST beat Anderson (you know up until that point where he gave up..)

so since we know no single man can beat Anderson, it would appear that one needs the strength of about 20 men, give or take to pry that belt away from Silva.

      • mrtaylorsblues says:

the only real option for a competitive Silva title defense is a royal rumble style set-up where a new MW contender is let into the octagon every two minutes.

  8. Nando says:

We all knew, we just didn’t want to believe.

  9. koolG says:

way to fuck everyone over reem

  10. Jason N says:

Should still let him fight, HJDS would whoop him anyways

  11. Karey Morgan says:

How was his physique not a red flag in the first place? When you compare it now to what it used to be say when I he lost to Chuck Liddell. I know that was a long time ago but still. Let’s get real here!

  12. Let ’em fight anyway. If JDS still wins then that’s all the more awesome for him. :)

    • Thousand Demons says:

I agree. On one hand, we lose out because, well, “the elephant in the room” has finally been spoken of. Some of us wanted to believe, maybe, but we all kinda knew. On the other hand, Overeem’s ruined it for us all.
Or, maybe, just the timing ruined it. Either way, we, as fans, need a fight. If JDS knocks him out, so much the better for him.

My thoughts are: no matter what the sport, in the end, you’re going to get a glut of athletes juicing. Maybe there should be a division where ONLY juicers can go, the “Gorilla Weight” division. Maybe man vs. gorilla could be one of the matches.
Then Overeem can compete so-called legitimately again.

      • Thousand Demons says:

On second thoughts, JDS is innocent here. For him to be thrown into the octagon against someone we know to be juicing like that
would be totally unfair to him, and might even be a risk to his life.

(the “Gorilla Weight Division” might still accept ‘Reem, though! 😀 )

  13. barry mccociner says:

he’s needs a doctors note and three more doses of testosterone and he’ll be on sonnens level.

  14. jdog says:

It is still far out from the fight, no excuse for the elevated level the problem is that the fight is in Nevada I think which means he can’t make it, but if they changed venues to say Cowboys stadium or went to California the fight could still go on as long as he didn’t fail any more tests. Point it he got caught which I really hate, I had faith in him and I even met him and thought he wasn’t a pin cushion but I guess I was wrong. Only good thing is that all of Chael’s fans still love him and still talk crap how he was beating Silva when his levels were 16 to 1

  15. Jc says:

This was going to be the fight of the year. The only way to save it is to throw mark hunt in to keep it striker v striker and see who the best is at heavyweight. I feel mark hunt dosent have better striking than dos santos but is a
Much more dangerous fight for him

  16. Get your facts straight says:

Chael Sonnen’s levels were no where near Overeem’s. He was recorded at .1 higher than the average man. Thats almost nothing.

  17. Will says:

My question is, if he was taking the testosterone to treat a underlying condition, or if the intention was in fact to enhance his performance in the ring. Most people who start a testosterone regimine are committed for life to testosterone therapy. Although his age makes this less likely, I would want to know the rational before I jump to a conclusion that Overeem was being a complete idiot….On the flip side at least he wont be able to pro-create.

  18. asdf says:

i heard Frank Mir, threw the idea to Keith Kaizer and the commission to test them all at once, a month out. Frank has always been sneaky. Kinda low though.

Allow them to fight but just make it a non-title bout and Overeem should have to give him a % of his purse to JDS since Overeem is a sad ass roid head juicing twat!!<<

  20. mean170 says:

Man i am shocked that Overeem is using Test Boosters. I never would have believed it considering how he went from fighting 205 to weighing in at 260. I am at a loss for words.

  21. MARV3L0US says:

anyone who says let them fight is stupid how about you go out there and put your life on the line against someone of that size using steroids. Like bj said anyone who uses steroids F you !

  22. Furby8704 says:

they should turn over the Brock fight into a no contest…if hes guilty now most then likely he was guilty back then too.

    • Semtex says:

Except he was actually tested and was within normal range, professor!

What you guys need to understand is that this test is OUT of competition and he is NOT caught with steroids. NONE! So he has actually not violated any rules yet (Keith Kizer’s words, not mine). If he provides another good sample they will grant him a license to fight. Simple as that. And given some time he can easily provide a good sample.

      • Thousand Demons says:

This is the problem. He’s kind of been “caught with his hand in the cookie jar”, as it were, even though it’s not in competition.

Even if there were a legitimate medical reason for him to be taking drugs that enhance him to a 14:1 ratio, there’s always going to be that dark cloud of doubt over him now and, even if he did come through with a clean sample for the fight, there would always be that doubt.

  23. Koshchek Loves Gay Porn says:

These guys would beat anyone in the UFC!

  24. jdog says:

Pedro, why all this discrimination towards Alistair with the title? If NSAC allows 6-1 this means Alistair has the testosterone of 2 and 1/3 men, and if you go on the 1-4 it is the levels of 3 men. Also why no such article about Chael his was 16-1 and yet every article about Chael is how he was beating Anderson Silva for almost 5 rounds, at least Alistair wasn’t fighting when he got popped and during the actual competition (in his last bout he was normal.) Just saying Pedro, not such a fair shot in the light

  25. dicksplash says:

he has the testes of a 14 month baby

  26. McLovin says:

    14:1??!?!? Really? What a tool.

  27. #ALWAYSRIGHT says:

  28. repairman jack says:

the REEM is innocent the horse took the roids he merely eat the meat

  29. #1 Haole says:

Sonnen did not test higher you racists

  30. A.James says:

Bring in Mark Hunt to help shuffle the card a bit.

  31. Quazzi says:

    damn got roids?

  32. The natural says:

Why does anybody seemed too be surprised

  33. mike r says:

Damn that about the of testosterone level of a full grown gorilla

  34. Mike says:

He was a 10:1…. everyone little want to be MMA website is trying to boost the truth… he was only 4 over what the legal limit is in the state of Nevada which is 6:1

    • Zetoe R10 says:

wrong, he was 14:1. the initial report was that he was OVER 10:1.
i like how youre trying to defend the dude who is clearly a cheater.

      • jonesy says:

ok mtr know it all idiot…so now the nevada state is lying to fuk reem?? dont open you idiot mouth unless u know….in which case reem will sue for slander

    • Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

It was reported as above 10-1.

      14 is above 10.

      • Ly-er says:

Ur missing the point, theres a limit for a reason. Regardless if u thought his ratio was 10:1, the borderline for his T/E ratio had to be 6:1!! Even if it was 7:1, I think he should be penalized & dealt with! Overeem needs to be a professional & stop dicking around!

  35. Stranks says:

If anyone truly deserves the title shot, it should be good ol’ Francis.

  36. DMAC says:

Damn now I know why Brock gave up going for the TDs, he felt that superman strength and said FUCK THIS!!

I want to see this match up so bad though. I didn’t know UFC did random testing or is that something Dana made up for special cirxumstances?

In addition Dana needs to watch his fucking mouth he talks sgit to these guys like he owns them, like one day one of them won’t haul off and pop his ass in the mouth! It doesn’t sit well with me, maybe it’s just me idk but it fuels these shit talking fan boys to talk just like him making internet forums ridiculous in MMA…

    • Brent says:

The Nevada State Athletic Commission does testing not the UFC. The NSAC told him they would randomly test him because he couldn’t get the test done in the states before fighting Brock. He had it done in London instead. Why would Dana have anything against juicing? It makes his fighters stronger and more aggressive. Rampage came out a couple months ago and admitted that UFC doctors put him on Testosterone Replacement Therapy. Dana was only pissed that he was stupid enough to get caught. He juiced way to much to stay within the perfect ratio of 1200 ng/dl test per 200ng/dl epitestosterone for cheaters. Or he just didn’t take his epitest.

Dana can say what he wants to anyone, his security team probably carries guns or tasers. As far as forums go, it’s like that for any sport. People talk shit all the time, they’re allowed. It makes it interesting. You need a thick skin to be a celebrity, a thicker one to be a fighter.

  37. Jim says:

I’m shocked that some people actually seem to be surprised.. Some people are just naive to say in the least.

  38. #1 Haole says:

But he will tell you it’s because he’s a manly man that eats horse meat. Lol. Come on we all know what can be achieved naturally. So no big surprise. Funny thing is I believed he was clean until he did an interview with the Australian annoucer guy from pride and protested a little too much on the question of whether he ever took steroids in his life. Life. Life. We all knew

  39. Chartmonster says:

We as mma fan all lose in this situation bc Reem v Jds would’ve been a great fight!

    • Donnybrook says:

Agreed… there’s only one person to blame for for this f**k up and that’s Overeem, he just lost himself fan. I’m never going to defend or support that cheating SOB ever again and could care less if he ever steps back in the cage or ring.

  40. zoeldog27 says:

How anyone didn’t know he was on roids is beyond me, I knew it the second i first saw him months ago although it makes me wonder Sonnen had a bigger amount of testosterone than overeem yet with Sonnen it was hard to tell cause he wasnt so big, bottom line we need to get rid of anyone who uses steroids outta Mma

    • Xaninho says:

If you look at Sonnen when he fought Silva and the Sonnen that fought Bisping you can clearly see he lost alot of muscles since then.

And although I have to eat my words about Overeem not juicing I still stand by what I said about getting big like him without juicing.

I see guys like him at the gym I train daily, all hard work, good resting and good food supplements without TRT or other roids. I also know a few are juicing and they are about twice Overeem’s size, I’m talking insanely big!

And I whole heartedly agree with banning the cheaters right away.

  41. Mike says:

JDS would have still knocked his ass out!

  42. Rey Rey says:

i guess we should all start eating horse meat

  43. GreenTeaBagger says:

    REEM SMASH!!!!!

  44. Pastor William Reddick says:

As his pastor I am deeply troubled by this but I had a feeling that he was down this dark path again.
