Nogueira On Kongo | "I believe I’m better than him, I have more weapons"
By Jamie McAllister
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in an interview with TATAME.
Nogueira comments on his return from injury as well as his next opponent Cheick Kongo & appearing on the Brazilian version of ’Dancing With The Stars’
Firstly on his return from injury and does he currently have any physical limitations.
“I don’t have any movement limitations, but I want to be 100 percent when the fight comes. I’m feeling well enough to train and do my physiotherapy sessions, which is something I always do. I’m just making sure I’ll get there to mess around. I had a disappointment in my last fight against Frank Mir, because it was won and I had a bad outcome afterwards. I’ll try to keep my mistakes to a minimum now.”
On his next opponent Kongo.
“I’m coming from a loss and so is he. Both want to win, but I’m not losing my aggressive side and I’ll try to finish it. I respect Kongo. He’s strong, dangerous at striking, comes forward, but I believe I’m better than him and that I can win.”
“I’m going for the KO or the submission. Kongo will do his best to knock me out or submit me, but I believe I have more weapons”
On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ & is dancing easier than fighting.
“(Laughs) I’ll try to do it, but I’m focused on the fight. I don’t hold great expectations about dancing. I guess it’s nice to show other side of me, which isn’t the fighter side. So, let’s see what happens.”

Kongo does not come forward.
Big Nog should be fighting for the belt right now. I hope he gets it back together.
Behave
yeah he should be fighting jds since frank mir just took home big nobs arm
You know WTF I mean.
You may have more weapons but his is a cannon punch and rock hard hands. Nog is a far better MMA guy but he’ll have to be really careful with Kongo
lol this should be a good fight; but kongo hasn’t been aggressive in his last few fights…
He nearly tko’ed mir, I say that was aggressive but before that I agree.
if kongo wins put a fork in big nog
After big Nog wins I bet he will call out Mir…….again
Kongo has heavy hands, so Nog needs to watch out. Personally I can’t stand him. I respect him for what he has done in the sport, but don’t like him as a person.
he is a Homophobe.
I think this is going to be a pretty good fight unless they decide to play tag like in Kongo vs Mitrione.
Now that was the worst fight of 2011.
