Nick Ring vs. Costa Philippou Cancelled From UFC 154 | UFC NEWS
Nick Ring has been forced out of tonight’s UFC 154 card, as he has “fallen ill” with a virus, and will not be cleared to fight Philippou. According to MMAfighting.com, a UFC official confirmed Ring’s removal from the card this morning. With Ring vs. Philippou now off the main card, Mark Bocek and Rafael dos Anjos is now slated for the pay per view portion of the show. Additionally, Antonio Carvalho and Rodrigo Damm will now be featured on the FX telecast.
The UFC will also be paying Philippou his show money, as well as looking to place him on another card as soon as possible.
