Nick Diaz will corner Brother Nate at UFC on Fox3 | NJ Commission Grants Permission | UFC NEWS

By Lorenzo Luciano:

Nate Diaz is set to face Jim Miller in a lightweight bout at UFC on Fox 3 on May 5th, 2012 at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Nate’s older brother Nick Diaz will be there in his corner, as he has been granted permission by the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board (NJSACB). Nick was granted a corner’s license and will help his brother at next weekend’s fight.

Nick Diaz lost his last fight against Carlos Condit and was then suspended after testing positive for marijuana metabolites. He is currently under temporary suspension.

In a previous suspension for testing positive for marijuana back in 2007,following his fight against Takanori Gomi, Nick Diaz was not granted permission to corner his brother for the TUF 5 season finally.

Things have changed however, and it looks like Nate Diaz will have his brother in his corner for his big fight against Jim Miller.

A win over Miller.equals title shot? IMO beating Cerrone as bad as he did diaz should be fighting Pettis for title shot not miller.

  9. JoAnna says:

WOOHOO! I just hope he doesn’t start flipping everybody in the arena off, or jump in and start a brawl if his brother is losing….. actually, that would be kind of interesting to see. I like a good brawl, like the one Mayhem started. Crazy obnoxious guy, but fun to watch.
