Nick Catone Out, Eric Schafer in Against Aaron Simpson At UFC 136

A shift to the card in UFC’s trip to Houston has been made now that middleweight fighter, Nick Catone has been forced to withdraw due to injury.
In his place is the returning Eric Schafer who will make his second trip down to the middleweight division after spending the majority of career a weight class up.
UFC 136 is set for October 8 from the Toyota Center in Houston Texas. The pay-per-view event will feature a main event for the UFC’s lightweight title in a trilogy fight between champion Frankie Edgar and Challenger Gray Maynard as well as a featherweight title fight in the co-main event slot between Jose Aldo and Kenny Florian.
Schafer returns for his third stint inside the Octagon. In his most recent UFC outings he dropped back-to-back fights to Ryan Bader and Jason Brilz. After 18-months on the sidelines, “Red” decided to return to MMA, this time in the middleweight division. He has now picked up a victory over Chris Albandia at XFO 41 and has been invited to return to the UFC as a middleweight.
Simpson looks to build off his current two-fight win streak, which include victories over Mario Miranda and Brad Tavares. Originally scheduled to fight Nick Catone, he will now welcome back Eric Schafer to the UFC.
