Newly signed UFC lightweight Pat Healy wants Joe Lauzon or Jim Miller in debut | UFC News
Newly signed UFC lightweight Pat “Bam Bam” Healy (29-16 MMA, 7-1 SF), who was victorious this past weekend in the final Strikeforce event, is eager to begin his UFC career and already has some possible opponents in mind for his debut.
In an interview with MMAmania.com, Healy was asked if there was any particular fighter he’d like to face in his UFC debut, here is what “Bam Bam” had to say:
“I’m looking to fight like a Joe Lauzon or a Jim Miller. Somebody on that level who’s got a big name and I want to go out there and show everyone what I can do. I want someone like that.”
What do you think Penn Nation? Do you believe in Pat Healy? Will calling out Lauzon and Miller result in a big name for his UFC debut? Let’s hear it!

I think either opponent would beat Healy. Miller looked crazy against Lauzon. Healy has lots of experience but most of his losses come against UFC veterans Josh Thomson, TJ Waldburger, Rory Markman, Jake Ellenberger,Jay Hieron, and Carlo Prater. Granted these men are bigger than Healy and I think he is now in his right weight class. The UFC is a different beast. Nothing but trained killers, no half steppin bullshit, cardio in the LW division is ridiculous. He has his work cut out for him.
