Nate James vs. Derek Brunson Set for Strikeforce Challengers 20
Strikeforce officials have booked a middleweight contest for next month’s Strikeforce Challengers 20 event and its set between Derek Brunson and Nate James.
Strikeforce Challengers 20 is set to take place at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on November 18 with the main card airing live on Showtime.
James is coming off of his Strikeforce debut against Danillo Villefort at Strikeforce Challengers 18. The AKA product took the win in the bout via unanimous decision and notched his fourth victory in his last five fights.
Brunson is an undefeated prospect who trains under the tutelage of both Renzo Gracie and Greg Jackson. He is a three-time NCAA Division II All-American wrestler who was last seen choking out Lumumba Sayers at “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson”.
