Mousasi Set To Return Against OSP In December

That’s right; Strikeforce has apparently adopted the “Ask and you shall receive” matchmaking policies often seen in the UFC.
Strikeforce officials announced yesterday that they have booked former light-heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi to face Ovince St. Preux on their yet to be made official December 17 event set to air on Showtime.
A headliner and venue has yet to be announced for the event. However this bout will likely take place on the evening’s main card alongside the already announced fights featuring Gilbert Melendez, Jorge Masvidal, Gina Carano, “Cyborg” Santos and Keith Jardine.
St. Preux was last seen in the cage calling out Mousasi after his latest victory at Strikeforce Challengers 18 last month. The Knoxville Martial Arts Academy product is riding an eight-fight win streak and will now apparently take a huge leap in competition from his previous foes.
Mousasi hasn’t seen stateside action since fighting to a draw with Keith Jardine earlier this year on the “Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley” show. He was ahead and the judges’ score cards, however a point deduction for an illegal upkick in the first frame of action forced the judges to rule a majority draw.
