‘WSOF 9: Carl vs. Palhares’ Results: Rousimar Keeps It Short, Wins Title With 1st Rnd Submission

The World Series Of Fighting returned to action tonight with, ‘WSOF 9: Carl vs. Palhares’.

Tonight’s event took place from Las Vegas, Nevada and aired live on NBC Sports.

Two champions were crowned this evening. Palhares was able to take the belt from his opponent, Steve Carl, with a first round submission via heel hook to steal the welterweight strap. In bantamweight action, Marlon Moraes, earned a unanimous decision victory over Josh Rettinghouse to win the inaugural bantamweight title.
