UFC Fight Night 28 will see another last-minute change as Wilson Reis is set to make his UFC debut in place of an injured Johnny Bedford.
Reis (16-4) will meet Hugo Viana (7-1) in a bantamweight match that will be featured on the event’s preliminary card.
Reis is a former EliteXC champion, and he has competed in the Bellator FC tournament a number of times. He is coming into this fight with a four-fight win streak, using his Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt skills to win three of those by submission.
Viana is coming into this fight having recently suffered his first professional loss by way of a first-round TKO at the hands of T.J. Dillashaw. The cast member of “The Ultimate Fighter Brazil” debuted in the UFC with two consecutive wins.
UFC Fight Night 28 takes place September 4 at Mineirinho Arena in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The preliminary card will stream on Facebook at 5pm ET, with the main card airing live on FOX Sports 1 at 8pm ET.Tags: Hugo Viana, Johnny Bedford, mma, MMA NEWS, ufc, UFC Fight Night 28, ufc news, UFC on FOX Sports 1, ufc on fs1, wilson reis
