Why Daniel Cormier says immediate rematch between Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey should not happen

By Russell Ess - November 17, 2015

Dana White says that an immediate rematch with Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey makes sense. However, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier disagrees and says Rousey has things that she needs to work on if she wants to have a chance at beating Holm.

Cormier had this to say via FOX Sport 1 press release:

“It’s tough. We’ve all built her up to be unbeatable. There will be a lot of distractions when you’re the champion. I think she did get exposed tonight. She has some holes. She’s been so dominant in the past, but that didn’t work tonight. She has work to do. I don’t think we need an immediate rematch. The things she needs to fix will take a little time.”

We will have to wait and see what unfolds for both Holly and Ronda as Rousey has stated that she will be taking some time off from fighting.

What do you think Penn Nation? Will Holm versus Rousey II be the next UFC women’s bantamweight championship fight? Or is there another match to be made?
