UFC President Dana White confirmed that if Jon Jones were to return to the octagon, not only would he be at the top of the card but he would receive an immediate championship match.

Jon Jones has had quite the couple of months outside of the octagon and this could be the news he needs to get everything in order. After getting stripped of his title and suspended earlier in April due to a run in with the law, Dana White was forced to have the fate of the vacated title decided between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson at “UFC 187”.

During a recent appearance on “The Jim Rome Show”, White commented on Jones’ possible octagon return. “He comes right back and he fights for the title,” Dana White said. “He hasn’t had the time that Anderson Silva’s had, but he is the most dominant champion.”

White continued, “If you look at the murderer’s row of the 205-pound division that he went through, and he just went through it like a hot knife through butter, I mean, he’s the man. So whenever he gets his stuff together, he’d come right back and fight for the title.”
