Following last night’s UFC on FOX 12 event, UFC President Dana White was in a rush to hit the road, but prior to his departure he gave the media one golden-nugget of news.
Jose Aldo will rematch Chad Mendes in Brazil.
The two were originally scheduled to square off in Chad’s home state of California, but Aldo withdrew with an injury. Since the entire event’s cancellation, Mendes has been campaigning for the fight to take place either on neutral ground, or on his turf.
But that didn’t happen.
According to reports, the UFC featherweight title fight will go down at UFC 179 in Rio ee Janeiro on October 25.
