Chris Weidman gave critics a warning after his 1st round TKO win over Vitor Belfort, ‘join the team before it’s too late.’

Now, Weidman has revealed that not only does he have his sights set on going down as the greatest middleweight of all time after already defeating numerous MMA legends, but he wants to be the best ever.

He spoke to Vice:

“If I was a trash talker, I’d definitely get more attention, but that’s not what I’m really in it for. I’m not in it for a short term thing, either. I’m trying to become the greatest of all time. Notoriety and fame and all of that stuff will come. I’m not in a rush for it. The more that people respect me as a person, and respect me as a fighter, I keep doing what I’m doing, all of that stuff comes.”

This makes sense given that Weidman recently began talking about potentially setting up a superfight with Jon Jones down the line.
