“I believe in joy. When I step into the octagon and I don’t feel the pleasure and I don’t feel the adrenaline and the purpose, I think it will be time to stop.

“I made a plan to go into my 40s, so that’s kind of the plan. So I like to plan things. I believe the more you plan, the more you succeed.”

After starting his professional fighitng career as a teenager, one of the UFC’s top middleweight and light-heavyweight fighters, Vitor ‘The Phenom’ Belfort has plans to continue fighting through his 40’s.

A shocker, to think one could compete at the highest level of our sport for more than 20 straight years, but in his recent interview with mmajunkie, he expressed just that.

Currently Vitor Belfort sits at a comfortable 36 years old. The Brazilian faces off with Dan Henderson next week in Brazil in the main event of UFC Fight Night 32.
