“It’s a new fight, and it’s my 25 minutes versus his 25 minutes, who can push harder longer. It has nothing to do with skills. Commentators and announcers love to make this about skills, but its not, its about who’s tougher than who, who wants it more,” stated Chael Sonnen in a pre-fight interview for UFC.com.
With the rematch against current middleweight champion Anderson Silva at UFC 148 less than a month away, you can expect the trash talk to begin. Having a great deal of confidence going into the July 7th rematch, Sonnen feels he can find a way to dethrone “The Spider” in any facet of the game. Chael said, “I am going to take what I want one punch and one kick at a time and I don’t give a damn who that offends.” Sonnen went on to say, “I’m out here to win matches, I’m out here to win a world championship.”
