After UFC 180 last night, UFC President Dana White clarified that he would not be stripping heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez of the title, unless Velasquez is unable to fight by March.

Velasquez spoke about the possibility of being stripped of the title.

“It doesn’t matter to me. I don’t care. As long as I fight, the next fight will be for a title. And I’m happy with that. I don’t really care of having that title. The name that comes with it, I don’t really care. As long as I fight for a title and I earn it.”

“I’m going to do everything I can. Just play it by ear. Do everything I can as far as rehab and getting it better. That’s all I can do.”/em>
