UFN 81 Results: Paul Felder submits Daron Cruickshank in round three

Lightweights Paul Felder (11-2 MMA) and Daron Cruickshank (16-2 MMA) squared off during the ‘UFC Fight Night 81’ preliminary card in Boston.

Both fighters are happy to exchange to begin round one. Solid pressure from Felder. Cruikshank lands a front leg side kick to the face. Good combo from Daron followed by a head kick. Cruickshank shoots in for a takedown but Felder uses the position to grab a guillotine choke. It looked to be locked in tight but “The Detroit Super Star” shook free. Good knee to the body from Felder. Spinning back kick from Cruikshank. Felder lands a takedown but Daron sweeps him to wind up in top position. Round one ends.

Round two begins and both men trade attempted high kicks that miss. Side kick to the body from Daron. He shoots in on Felder for the takedown. It’s not there. Spinning back elbow and then another back fist from Daron. Felder is in trouble and shoots in. After a scramble, Felder traps Cruikshank in an inverted triangle. Daron gets free and lands a good strike from top position to end round two.

Round three begins and Felder opens with a big leg kick. He pushes Daron up against the fence and starts working knees to the body from the clinch. More punches and shots from Felder from the clinch. He gets Cruikshank to the ground. Daron tries to get up but gives up his back. Rear-naked choke from Felder is in tight. It’s all over.
