UFC’s Ashlee Evans-Smith Suspended 9 Months, Issued 30% Fine

Several UFC Fighters were suspended at today’s Nevada State Athletic Commission meeting.

Anderson Silva, Nick Diaz, Hector Lombard, and Ashlee Evans-Smith (pictured) were all suspended for drug use in the UFC.

While her fighting peers were pushed off to a later date, Evans-Smith was served her full punishment at today’s UFC Fight Pass broadcasted event.

The commission moved unanimously to suspend the UFC female for nine-months and fine her 30% of her 8,000.00 fight purse. The commission will also require Evans-Smith to submit a clean drug sample upon relicensing.

Smith was suspended for her use of using a banned diuretic in the lead up to her UFC debut against Raquel Pennington. She lost after submitting in round 1.
