A former UFC fighter has plead guilty to negligent homicide.

That’s right, according to The Register Guard, former UFC fighter Gerald Strebendt was sentenced to four years and 10 months for pleading guilty to negligent homicide.

Strebendt fought once in the UFC and bounced around a few smaller promotions before retiring from MMA in 2008. Strenbendt was charged with murder for fatally shooting an unarmed and intoxicated man. The former fighter took a plea deal that came with a significantly lower sentence then he could have faced.
