Various sources have confirmed that the UFC has added two welterweight fighters for upcoming appearances at UFC Fight Night bouts.
Nate Loughran will be returning to the UFC after a three-year hiatus from the sport to face Erick Silva at UFC Fight Night 36, reported BJPENN.COM; and MMA Fighting reported that Danny Mitchell will be making his UFC debut to face Igor Araujo at UFC Fight Night 37.
Loughran (11-1) fought twice for the UFC in 2008, winning his debut but then losing his second bout and suffering a rib injury in the process. He then took over three years away from MMA, making a return in 2012. On a 2-fight win streak since his return, Loughran will be facing a tough opponent in Erick Silva in the Brazilian’s home country when they fight in February.
Danny Mitchell (14-4) will enter the Octagon with two back-to-back wins in his most recent fights to face Igor Araujo at UFC Fight Night 37 in March. Of Mitchell’s last six fights, he has gone 5-1 with all of his wins coming by way of stoppage – including two first-round KO’s and a flying triangle submission.
UFC Fight Night 36 will take place February 15 in Santa Catarina, Brazil; and UFC Fight Night 37 will take place March 8 in London, England.Tags: danny mitchell, erick silva, igor araujo, mma, MMA NEWS, Nate Loughran, ufc, UFC FIGHT NIGHT 36, ufc fight night 37, ufc news
