The UFC has signed Brazilian grappling specialist Antonio Braga Neto, as reported by Sportv.com. The 25-year-old is a former two-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champions who currently competes in the middleweight division. He has reached the top of the “BJJ” sport both under and over the 100 kilograms weight class, in 2008 and 2011, respectively.

Braga Neto currently holds a 8-1 MMA record, with one “No Contest”. He rides a three-fight winning streak that dates back to March of 2010, submitting two former UFC fighters in the process: Maiquel Falcão, via kimura; and Brock Larson, via kneebar, that being his last performance, on March 4th at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Neto has also beat former “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” winner Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira via unanimous decision, back in 2007. Six of his eight wins were due to submissions. His only loss came through the hands of the japanese Ryo Kawamura, on March of 2008 at Sengoku 1 in Japan. He has yet to secure a victory outside of his native Brazil, as the “No Contest” in his pro record happened in China against Dutchman Rodney Glunder.

Braga Neto’s UFC debut is likely to happen as part of the “TUF Brazil 2: Finale” card on June 8th at Fortaleza, Brazil, against an opponent that has yet to be announced.
