Another event on UFC on FX and another solid fight card. Clay Guida battles fellow lightweight contender Gray Maynard, when the two meet tomorrow at UFC on FX 4 from Atlantic City from the Revel. Guida is looking to gain more ground as Maynard is seeking to get another title shot in the near future. Here are some predictions for Friday night’s main card fights. Agree or Disagree, Lets hear your predictions?!
Clay Guida (29-12) vs. Gray Maynard (10-1-1)
My Prediction: Clay Guida via Unanimous Decision
Cardio, Energy, Intensity. I think these are all enough to get Guida through this fight. Don’t get me wrong, Maynard is a beast but Guida will grind out another win. First round will be full of action, Guida and Maynard will exchange early and often. Guida will successfully take down Maynard throughout the fight, yes Maynard is a wrestler but Guida’s cardio and relentless take downs will wear on Maynard. Guida picks up a decision in a tough fight and looks to gain a title shot in the near future.
Spencer Fisher (32-8) vs. Sam Stout (17-7-1)
My Prediction: Sam Stout via TKO (Round 2)
Stout comes into the fight off a tough loss to Thiago Tavares, he will come back in dominating fashion. In round one, Stout will control the pace and cut off the ring and continue to pepper Fisher with punches. The quickly fading Fisher will look sluggish and slow in a tough fight against Stout. Stout will pumble Fisher early in the second round, dropping him with a right hand and finishing the fight on the ground. Sam Stout will pick up his third win in his last four fights and continue to climb the lightweight ladder.
Brian Ebersole (49-14-1) vs. T.J. Waldburger (15-6)
My Prediction: Brian Ebersole via Unanimous Decision.
Ebersole and Waldburger have an excellent chance of flying under the radar and nabbing the fight of the night award tomorrow night. This is going to be an absolute war. Ebersole and Waldburger will exchange early and often, Waldburger will attempt to take down Ebersole after being peppered with shots in the first round. Ebersole is going to grind out a win against a very hungry and young Waldburger, who has a bright future ahead of him in the octagon.featured, MMA NEWS, ufc news
