UFC on FOX 11: Werdum Says He Beat Browne In Training

UFC heavyweights Travis Browne and Fabricio Werdum are set to meet at UFC on Fox 11 in a #1 contender match. Fabricio Werdum however doesn’t seem to be too worried about Hapa.

Werdum had the following interesting bit of information to say to Combate.com:

“Travis and I have trained together already, kind of three or four years ago. We were wearing gloves, shin guards and mouthpiece, he didn’t even see me. I can’t talk about training but he know what happened.”

While none of us were there, It’s hard for one to say that Travis Browne is the same fighter today as he was 3 or 4 years ago when Werdum said they trained.

Browne has been on a roll as of late, going on a 3 fight win streak, and finishing all 3 fights by knockout. His most recent win came over Josh Barnett in December.

Werdum is also on a three fight win streak, however he hasn’t seen Octagon action in nearly a year when he submitted Antonio Nogueira at UFC on Fuel TV: Nogueira vs. Werdum in June.
