UFC NEWS – UFC 142 Prelims To Air on FX

December 14, 2011 6:45 am by Pedro Carrasco

Up until yesterday afternoon the UFC 142 preliminary card had no broadcast home. While the UFC has plans to feature all preliminary fights on FUEL TV in 2012, FUEL officials advised that if for some reason a card would not fit within their broadcast calendar an alternative FOX affiliate would be selected.

For that reason, the UFC 142 preliminary card will air on FX, the special also marks the UFC’s debut on the station.

UFC 142 is set to go down on Jan. 14 from Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena. In the main event is a featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes.

While not officially confirmed, the UFC 142 prelims on FX are expected to air in its entirety.

The latest UFC 142 card is as follows:

Main card: (pay-per-view)
Jose Aldo (c) vs. Chad Mendes — UFC featherweight title
Vitor Belfort vs. Anthony Johnson
Mike Massenzio vs. Rousimar Palhares
Siyar Bahadurzada vs. Erick Silva
