It would appear as if hot lightweight prospect Reza Madadi has made the big show and in doing so will face off with five-time UFC veteran, Rafaello Oliveira in the UFC’s debut on FX.
The UFC has yet to officially confirm the signing our bout, but sources close to the situation are saying it’s a go.
UFC on FX 1 is set to take place on January 20th at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The first ever event on the station will air live and free to channel subscribers. In the main event a lightweight tilt between top contenders Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller will go down and rebound one of the two from recent losses.
Madadi is a Swedish-Iranian wrestler who has taken out a notable list of UFC veterans in route to his UFC contract. With a six-fight win streak to his credit he has been able to destruct names like Rich Clementi, Carlo Prater and Junie Browning.
Oliviera likely fights for his life with the UFC. After an initial stint with the promotion he was released and then called back to action after a small stint on the regional circuit. He was brought in to face Gleison Tibau on short notice and lost and was last seen in a losing effort to Yves Edwards as well. He will need to be victorious over the UFC newcomer if he wants to keep his job.
