A heavyweight tilt has reportedly been added to the UFC’s return trip to Montreal in March.
UFC officials announced late yesterday evening that Brendan Schaub and Ben Rothwell have agreed to square off in the cage at UFC 145.
UFC 145 is still yet to be officially announced by UFC officials but it is expected to take place on March 25 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.
Schaub last saw action at UFC 134 getting knocked out by Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. The loss snapped a four-fight win streak which saw the “Ultimate Fighter” season 10 competitor takes out the likes of Mirko Cro Cop and Gabriel Gonzaga.
Rothwell on the other hand has much to prove in this upcoming matchup. One of the bigger men on the UFC’s roster, Ben likely fights for his life inside the promotion against Schaub this upcoming March. He has only been able to notch one victory in his last three outings and as such desperately needs a win against Schaub.
With the card still being put together it is unknown on whether or not this bout will make the main card airing or be relegated to preliminary bout action.
