UFC Making Ohio Return, Cincinnati Event Slated For May

February 19, 2014 11:03 am by Jim Chadwick

For the first time in almost seven years, the mecca of mixed martial arts will return to Cincinnati.

The event, set for May 10, will be televised on Fox Sports 1, and looks to be emanating out of the U.S. Bank Arena. UFC officials made the announcement this past Tuesday, and you can also find the news on their official website.

The last UFC event Cincinnati showcased was UFC 77 – a card headlined by hometown hero, Rich Franklin, as he attempted to reclaim his belt from future pound-for-pound star Anderson Silva. Considering how things went for “Ace” that night – coupled with the fact that Tim Sylvia was on the card – Cincinnati needed about seven years to forgive the UFC for putting them through that.

That’s a joke. Kinda.

Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday, March 21st.
