Anthony Johnson

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson is the most dangerous man in the light heavyweight division. Now, he will get a chance to prove it as he has earned the right to fight UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones.

Johnson caught Gustafsson with a counter right hook to the jaw and neck. Gustafsson crumbled to the mat and got back to his feet. He backed up to the fence and Johnson started teeing off on him. Gustafsson tried to get to the middle of the octagon but Johnson simply tossed him to the mat. It was clear that Gustafsson was out of it, but Johnson would go on to prove how out of it he truly was.

Gustafsson was on all fours and Johnson got on top of him. Johnson picked his shots and repeatedly blasted Gustafsson with brutal shots. Johnson spent the next thirty seconds rocking Gustafsson’s head back with punch after punch and the referee gave Gustafsson plenty of time to recover. He warned Gustafsson three or four times he would stop the fight if he did not improve his position, and he was eventually forced to wave off the fight.

Johnson may have been showered by a chorus of boos, but he was the better fighter tonight.
