UFC FN 56 Results: Almeida Lights Gorman Up and Picks Up Decision Win‏

November 8, 2014 6:10 pm by Jonathan Kirschner

Thomas Almeida Wins
Even though this was the first UFC fight to not see a finish in 12 fights, it was still worthy of a standing ovation when the final horn sounded in Brazil. Thomas Almeida and Tim Gorman stood for fifteen full minutes and exchanged blows to the point where the Brazilians were cheering for the foreigner!

Both Almeida and Gorman saw their moments of brilliance where they threatened finishing the bout, but their chins withstood the punishment and they always made it to the end of the round.

The American, Gorman, showed he had a great chin with the amount of punishment he took tonight. Almeida was simply too quick for him and he was first in all of their striking exchanges.

Thomas Almeida defeated Tim Gorman by way of Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
