Mark Munoz WINS

Mark Munoz capped off his professional fighting career with a dominant victory inside the octagon at “UFC Fight Night 66”. Luke Barnatt showed resiliency, but he was outclassed tonight.

Munoz fed off the energy of the crowd from the opening minute of the fight and you could tell he was dishing on the fight of his life. He caught Barnatt early on with a big right hand that wobbled him and Munoz went in for the kill. Munoz landed shot after shot, but Barnatt’s chin was on point and he didn’t tumble once. Munoz eventually took him down and implemented his ground and pound until the round expired.

Barnatt started to gain the upperhand in the second due to Munoz showing signs of fatigue, but Munoz quickly turned the tables with his wrestling and controlled the rest of the fight while peppering big shots until the final horn.

It was no surprise when Munoz’s arm was raised, but it was surely emotional. Munoz gave an amazing retirement speech in the middle of the octagon that received a big ovation from the crowd.

Mark Munoz def. Luke Barnatt by way of Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)
