By bjpenndotcom - March 8, 2014

There was a lot at stake in the main event between Alexander Gustafsson and Jimi Manuwa. Gustafsson, seeking a rematch with Jon Jones for the title and Manuwa trying to make a statement with his first fight against a top 10 fighter.

Gustafsson got Manuwa down early in the first round, where he looked to lock up a kimura. After a few failed attempts, Manuwa managed to get to his feet. Manuwa did land a good body punch towards the end of the round, but not much else.

In the second round Manuwa seemed to turn up the action. He landed more leg kicks and punches, but it was Gustafsson who landed a brilliant knee that hurt Manuwa. Gustafsson then landed several uppercuts while Manuwa was against the cage. Manuwa attempted to move away but fell to the mat, where Gustafsson landed a few hammer fist that forced the referee to stop the fight.

Gustafsson made it clear in his post fight interview who he wanted next, calling out champion Jon Jones and telling him that he wants his rematch.

Result- Gustafsson wins via TKO at 1:18 in round 2.
