Despite hosting one of the most epic heavyweight bouts in recent history, UFC Fight Night 33 drew average ratings – but it saw significantly less viewers than the previous UFC event, The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale.

The ratings from last weekend’s UFC Fight Night 33 show a viewership that remains consistent with recent UFC Fight Night events; but it is a sharp drop from the most recent UFC event, The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale.
UFC Fight Night 33, which took place in Brisbane, Australia and aired live on FOX Sports 1, had an average viewership of 755,000, peaking at 886,000 during the main event, according to Nielson sources. The preliminary fights, which aired on FOX Sports 2, only averaged 132,000 viewers.
The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale surpassed the typical UFC Fight Night event, averaging 1,129,000 viewers, presumably from that the recent season of TUF garnered in the preceding months. It is difficult to compare these events side-by-side, however, as they aired on different nights of the week.
UFC Fight Night 33 saw Mark Hunt fight Antonio Silva to a five-round draw; and despite the outcome of the bout, many fans have called this a likely candidate for Fight of the Year.Tags: Antonio Silva, Mark Hunt, mma, MMA NEWS, the ultimate fighter 18 finale, TUF 18 Finale, ufc, UFC Fight Night 33, ufc fight night 33 ratings, ufc news
