| This was another quick finish for UFC Fight Night 28 and it was a treat for the Brazilian fans!

Jacare came out on fire in this fight and has now made a large case for why he is one of the best middleweights in the world. He’s at the top of his game and put his tremendous skills on display for the fans tonight in Brazil.

Jacare poured it on early in the first round and had Okami in trouble against the cage but Okami was covering up and eventually circled out and survived the early storm.

It seemed that Okami was going to regain his composure and put on a good striking battle with Jacare but that thought didn’t last long as Jacare continually landed a huge overhand right to the head and face of Okami.

As Okami was throwing a kick Jacare landed the overhand right and dropped Yushin to the canvas.

He followed up with several unanswered strikes while Okami was down and the fight was stopped. Jacare didn’t just look good, he looked scary. He’s a large task for any middleweight in the world right now.

Jacare Souza Wins via TKO at 2:47 of Round 1

This huge win over Okami moves Souza’s winning streak to 5 straight victories and he is likely now at the very top of the contention ladder. It will be interesting to see who the surging Barazilian will be paired up with next.
