UFC Announces Multiple Fights for UFC FN 39

While initially fairly quiet on the company’s return to Abu Dhabi, with only a few fights rumored, the UFC today announced a plethora of fights. As previously reported, the card is headlined by Antonio Nogueira vs Roy Nelson, with a co-main event of Clay Guida vs Tatsuya Kawajiri. The full card, according to the press release, consists of 10 fights. In addition to the main and co-main events, the lineup consists of:

A heavyweight clash between Jared Rosholt (9-1, 1-0 UFC) and Daniel Omielanczuk (16-3-1, 1-0) UFC, features two recent UFC Heavyweight additions to the roster, who both look to keep their undefeated streak in the Octagon going. In the middleweight division,  UFC veterans Andrew Craig (9-2, 3-2 UFC), and Chris Camozzi (19-7, 6-4 UFC) face off, while Trevor Smith (11-4, 1-1 UFC) fights former middleweight contender Thales Leites (22-4, 7-3 UFC).

At Welterweight, rising prospect Ryan LaFlare (10-0, 3-0 UFC) looks to continue his perfect record against a resurging John Howard (22-8 , 6-3 UFC),  while Ramsey Nijem (9-4 , 4-3 UFC) fights Beneil Dariush (7-0, 1-0 UFC) in a 155 clash.

South of 155, Longtime UFC/WEC Featherweight Ranyi Yahya (19-8, 4-2 UFC), looks to make his debut in the 135lb division in an intriguing clash with TUF alum Johnny Bedford (19-11-1 , 2-1 UFC), while Alptekin Ozkilic (9-2, 1-1 UFC) meets up with Dustin Ortiz (12-3, 1-1 UFC) in a flyweight battle.  Finally, divisional newcomers Jim Alers (12-1, 0-0 UFC) and Iraqi Alan Omer (18-3, 0-0 UFC) meet in the 145 lb division.
