Two important flyweight bouts have been added to the recently announced UFC event in Cincinnati. Chris Cariaso will be facing off with Louis Smolka,and Darrell Montague will be fighting Kyoki Horiguchi. The UFC recently announced the match-ups. The card, which takes place on May 10th in Cincinnati, Ohio, does not yet have a main event, and it is unknown where the two fights will be placed on the card.
Chris Cariaso (16-5, 5-4 UFC), last fought at UFC 169, where he earned an unanimous decision victory over Danny Martinez, and is riding a two-fight win-streak. His opponent, Smolka (7-0, 1-0 UFC), looks to keep his unbeaten record. He entered the UFC at UFC FN 35, where he won an unanimous decision victory over Alptekin Ozkilic.
Montague (13-3, 0-1 UFC), a former Tachi Palace Flyweight champ, is still looking to get his first win in the UFC. He debuted in at UFC 166 in October, where he suffered a first round knockout at the hands of John Dodson. Meanwhile, Horiguchi (12-1, 1-0 UFC), is one of the more impressive prospects to to come out of Japan in some time. He looks to continue his 6-fight win-streak, most recently fighting at UFC 166, where he earned an impressive second round TKO over Dustin Pague.
