The last time Michael McDonald stepped foot into the octagon was December of 2013 against Urijah Faber fighting in ‘The California Kid’s” backyard.   The result of the contest was Faber’s infamous submission (guillotine choke) ending the fight inside of the second round.

McDonald took a jump in competition and experience when he fought Miguel Torres at UFC 145 and shut the lights out against the veteran via KO.   Since that fight “Mayday” has split four contest losing only two former WEC champ Faber and former champ Renan Barão.

McDonald’s first assignment back in competition is Masanori Kanehara (25-12-5 MMA) has also split his last four fights 2-2.  Which fighter will come out with the win tonight?
