UFC 191 Attendance and Gate Numbers Revealed

By BJPENN.COM News - September 5, 2015

UFC 191 didn’t exactly deliver the way a lot of fans were hoping it would. The card was full of some really amazing fights, but in the end their were only a few finishes and a lot of decisions.

Of course we had fights like John Lineker vs. Francisco Rivera and Anthony Johnson vs. Jimi Manuwa that looked great on paper and brought the action in real life, but then we had fights like Frank Mir and Andrei Arlovski that just sort of happened. There wasn’t much memorable about the fight and it wasn’t the fight that produced a clear number one contender liken many thought it would.

In the main event we saw, perhaps what many expected, when champ Demetrious Johnson did his thing and out worked John Dodson to again defeat him and keep his title defense streak going.

At the post fight press conference, Dana White announced the attendance and live gate numbers for the event.

Live Gate: $1,367,000

Attendance: 10,873
