UFC 187 Results: Donald Cerrone Lands Big Head Kick, Makdessi Waves Off Fight
Donald Cerrone landed his signature leg kicks early. Makdessi threw a side kick to the body. Cerrone continued to land those leg kicks, then goes upstairs with a big head kick. He landed a knee to the body, Makdessi landed a nice body punch. Makes lands his own leg kick, not quite as loud as Cerrone’s. Makdessi continued to come in with a body punch, then go upstairs with a punch. Cerrone landed a nice two punch flurry. Makdessi threw a spinning body kick, but it’s blocked. With then seconds left in round one both fighters threw hands.
In the second Cerrone landed a few nice punches early. Both fighters went back and forth with leg kicks. Cerrone tried to turn up the pressure with a flurry of punches, then a knee. Makdessi continues to land a jab to the body of Cerrone. Cowboy kept the pressure on Makdessi, never letting up. Cerrone landed a huge head kick. Makdessi immidialaty looked to the ref and tried to call a time out with his hands, then said no more with his hands. The referee called the fight.
RESULTS: Donal Cerrone wins via TKO at 4:44 of round 2.
