UFC 173 Ticket Sales Postponed While Hunt For Main Event Continues

Tickets for the upcoming UFC 173 fight card were supposed to go on sale today, but that’s not happening.

UFC officials have opted to hold off on sales while they search for a new main event.

Originally UFC 173 was to be headlined by Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort. The TRT ban nixed that fight and in for Belfort came Lyoto Machida.

Machida and Weidman already started to promote the event, scheduled for May 24 in Las Vegas. However, Weidman got injured in training and this title fight is now postponed.

No word on who is being considered for the evenings main event, but one thing is certain, you can’t buy tickets yet.

We will announce when tickets become available.

T.J. Dillashaw vs. Takeya Mizugaki
