UFC 167 Results: Woodley Brutally KOs Koscheck in Round 1

By bjpenndotcom - November 16, 2013

Tyron Woodley has a dangerous right hand, and he reminded Josh Koscheck of that in the opening strike of the fight. Koscheck took a brutal right hand that sent him stumbling back, and Woodley followed and connected with an uppercut that caused Koscheck to attempt a takedown, just so the fight didn’t get finished.

Minutes later, Koscheck cracked Woodley with a right hook of his own that sent him wobbling back, making him think twice about any strike he wanted to try and throw for the rest of the bout. Luckily for Woodley, though, he didn’t shy away from anything.

Woodley was letting Koscheck think he was controlling where the fight was going and he found himself with his back close to the cage. Woodley unleashed with a thunderdous right hook that sent Koscheck’s eyes rolling to the back of his head. Before his body could hit the canvas, Woodley connected with another right hook and Big John waved the fight off.

This was Tyron Woodley’s second knockout victory inside the octagon.
