UFC 162: Silva could earn $800,000; Weidman $48,000

Regardless of how to fight ends, it will be a profitable night Anderson Silva.

MMAjunkie.com recently requested and received disclosed salaries for UFC 162, which takes place Saturday at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Middleweight champ Silva (33-4), will earn a guaranteed $600,000 for fighting No. 1 challenger Chris Weidman (9-0), according to figures from the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Weidman is guaranteed $24,000 and an additional $24,000 if he pulls off the upset.

The 38-year-old champion could earn an additional $200,000 by defending his title for a UFC-record 11th time.

Silva’s pay day represent his highest disclosed salary to date. At UFC 148, where he defeated Chael Sonnen for the second time, he made $200,000 with no win bonus. Silva recently signed a new 10-fight contract with the UFC,

In a win over Mark Munoz, Weidman earned $22,000 to show and $22,000 at UFC on FUEL TV 4.
