Saturday’s UFC 160 fight card had a lot of hype as one of the more stacked cards in recent memory. Thankfully, it didn’t disappoint in the least.
Heavyweight kingpins Junior Dos Santos and Mark Hunt picked up Fight of the Night honors for their battle at the MGM Grand. Junior Dos Santos ended up finishing Hunt late in the third round with a spinning wheel kick to the head. After the kick dropped Hunt, Dos Santos pounced on his prey for the finish.
According to Dana White, the Knockout of the Night honors were originally going to go to Junior Dos Santos, but Mike Tyson decided to veto the decision in favor of TJ Grant’s knockout of top contender Gray Maynard. This knockout has earned Grant the next title shot against Ben Henderson.
The Submission of the Night honors went to Glover Teixeira for his well-earned guillotine submission of James Te Huna in the first round.Tags: antonio "bigfoot" silva, Cain Velasquez, Junior Dos Santos, Mark Hunt, MMA NEWS, UFC 160, UFC Las Vegas, ufc news
